The following is how to open a press type faucet and fix dripping problems: What you need: Use these things to deal with press type faucets - screwdrivers, soaked in lubricating oil, carp pliers or adjustable wrenches, and their replacement pads.

Process 1: Close the water supply and remove the small screws on or behind the faucet handle to remove the handle fixed to the faucet body. Some screws are hidden under metal buttons, plastic buttons, or plastic sheets that snap or screw into the handle. Just flip the button open and you will see the handle screw installed at the top. If necessary, use some soaked lubricating oil like WD-40 standard to loosen the screws.

Process 2: Remove the handle and inspect the components of the faucet. Use a large carp pliers or adjustable wrench to remove the packing nut, taking care not to leave scratches on the metal. Rotate the valve core or shaft in the same direction as when you opened the faucet to unscrew them.

Process 3: Remove the screws that secure the washers. If necessary, use saturated lubricating oil to loosen the screws. Check the screws and valve core, and replace them with new ones if there is any damage.

Process 4: Replace the old gasket with an identical new one. A new gasket that almost matches the old gasket can generally prevent the faucet from dripping. You should also note that the old gasket has a sloping surface and is still flat, and replace it with the same new gasket. Washers that are only designed for cold water planning will expand violently when there is hot water flow that has expired, blocking the outlet and causing slow flow of hot water. Some gaskets can work in both hot and cold water, but you need to confirm that the gasket you purchased for replacement is exactly the same as the original one.

Process 5: Fix the new gasket onto the valve core, and then install the various components in the faucet from the beginning. Rotate the stainless steel valve core clockwise. After the valve core is in place, install the packing nut from the top. Be careful not to leave scratches on the metal with the wrench.

How to repair a broken faucet seat? Of course, you can replace the entire faucet. Another option is to only replace the faucet seat. If there is the right thing - called a valve seat wrench - then removing the old valve seat is a very simple task. Insert the valve seat wrench into the valve seat and then turn it counterclockwise. Once you remove the old valve seat, please confirm that the new valve seat you purchased is the same as the original one. If the valve seat cannot be removed, insert a suitable seat sleeve that can slide into the old valve seat and provide a seal. There are two types of valve seat rollers or grinders that can flatten worn valve seats from scratch. Another option is to use a seat roller or grinder, which is a cheap tool that can flatten worn seats from scratch. Be careful not to use this thing for too long or with too much force, as the valve seat is made of soft metal and you can easily wear it off too much. 3、 Sealing ring of faucet: Drip is generated when the faucet is closed; Leakage is caused by expired water flow in the faucet. If you see water pouring out from around the handle, your faucet is leaking; The first thing to do is to confirm that the sealing nut of the faucet is tight, but be careful not to scratch the nut with pliers or wrenches. Here are the things you need to replace the faucet sealing ring: an adjustable wrench, a replacement faucet sealing ring, and Vaseline. If you find that the reason for the leakage is not due to the loose nut, then you need to replace the sealing ring. The sealing ring of a faucet can be a tight sealing ring composed of one or more O-ring rubber rings, or something like a thin rope or soft metal wire wrapped around the valve core under the sealing nut. When replacing the sealing ring of the faucet, follow the following process: Process 1: Close the water supply and remove the faucet handle. Process 2: Unscrew the packing nut and remove both the nut and the old sealing ring from the valve core. Process 3: Install a new sealing ring.
